minute decision to head to ECM Speedway in Bremen, Alabama on
Saturday evening, July 11. Their #29 team competed for the $4,000
top prize in a Southern All Stars Dirt Late Model Series (SAS)
shootout. Christian Hanger timed in tenth fastest in his group

his way through the talented field in the 40-lapper, a broken

racing from July 1-4 in special events at I-30 Speedway in Little
Rock, Arkansas, Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana, Duck
River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee, and Thunderhill Raceway
Park in Summertown, Tennessee. In a $4,000 to win COMP Cams Super
Dirt Series (CCSDS) special on Wednesday in Little Rock, Christian
Hanger placed fourth in his heat race and started up front in
the B-Main, but contact on the first circuit with another competitor
caused him to pull of the track and kept him out of the 40-lap
headliner. On Thursday night in a similar $4,000 to win CCSDS
shootout at Ark-La-Tex, Christian started ninth on the feature
grid, but was unable to finish the race and he was officially
scored in the seventeenth position.
At Duck River on Friday evening in a $2,000 to win
show, Christian rolled off from the outside of the third row in
the unsanctioned main event and took the lead on the seventh circuit,
but unfortunately suffered a flat right rear tire. He returned
to the racetrack and was subsequently taken out by another competitor,
which led to another DNF. In the finale on Saturday at Thunderhill,
Christian clicked off the fastest lap in Group B during Southern
All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) qualifying and was scheduled
to start the feature from the outside of the front row. However,
Mother Nature intervened and the $4,000 to win A-Main was washed
out. Complete results from the action-packed Independence Day
weekend can be viewed online at www.compdirt.com
